Personality Bill was ever a relaxed individual and the Second Wizarding War did little to affect his cool. Perhaps the most laid-back of the Weasley children, he’s an impossible person to rattle. That easy going attitude adds to his charm, giving him almost a rockstar vibe. He’s one for comedy, quick to laugh and always looking for some good old fun. His love for pranks and practical jokes was shared with his twin brothers Fred and George with whom he ever had a strong bond. Even his kids could appreciate their father’s sense of humor, earning him the “coolest” parent award in the family.
Despite his jolly deposition, Bill has a serious side as well. At Hogwarts he proved to be a brilliant student, perhaps the most academically gifted of Arthur and Molly’s children. His natural curiosity is a gift and a curse, often putting Bill with his nose in old scrolls looking for answers. His fondness for riddles and puzzles is evidence of intelligence, being sufficient enough to even outwit a Sphinx. Were he born a Muggle, one would call it scientific curiosity but there’s a hunger for understanding driving Bill further in his quest for answers.
Even as a teenager, Bill had featured a protective side. At Hogwarts he stuck up for his younger brothers and any kid that was bullied. His role of big brother came instinctive to him, becoming a guardian of the weak and defenseless. Once he reached maturity, that sentinel persona turned towards the Order where he could fight for his own believes. After the Second War, he stepped into the role of father and a damn good one considering the role model he looked up. Adopting his own father’s teachings, Bill became the kind of parent that allowed his kids to make their mistakes and help them back up without scrutiny or judgment. He merely guided them towards a proper path in life, leading by example.
Through Bill never wears his heart on his sleeve. Only Fleur gets to see his sensitive side for only her he trusts with that part kept safe behind lock and key. Having watched so many of the Order die, having witnessed dozens of friends being killed left him scarred. Having lost his brother, that grief he never dealt with. Maybe that’s why he grows more frightful of the werewolf traits he’s been displaying since the Astronomy Tower battle. Nowadays he tends to snap and lash out when people push his buttons too much. The pain of that loss weakens his resolve to the feral side of him. It makes him struggle with his temper somewhat, makes him more suspicious of new faces that before.
Political Alignment Sleeper Agent for the Order of the Phoenix Loyal to the Weasley/Potter/Delacour Families Proud Employee of the Gringotts Wizarding Bank
Current Occupation After the conclusion of the Second Wizarding War, Bill returned to his original job at the Gringotts Wizarding Bank as a Curse Breaker. Over the course of 24 years, he worked his way up to the rank to become the first wizard reaching the rank of chief within the magical bank. Bill at the age of 45 was promoted to Chief Curse Breaker, receiving a serious bump in pay and a percentage of every excavation done under his supervision. He would hold fast to his experience, expanding Gringotts operations in Egypt where they unearthed a number of lost tombs. 7 years now he’d been traveling back and forth between Tinworth, England and the Valley of Kings in Egypt.
Despite the end of the Second Wizarding War, Bill never parted with the Order of the Phoenix. His role has gotten less active over the years, staying out of the field to protect his family. Regardless Bill still acts as the eyes and ears of the Order within Gringotts Wizarding Bank.

History
While part of the Sacred Twenty-Eight, the Weasley family ever deplored their name being among those blood purists. Many in the wizarding world would brand them “Blood Traitors” but Arthur and Molly ever wore that slander with pride. This couple lived a cozy life, building themselves a lover’s nest in Ottery St Catchpole in Devon England. They named It the Burrow and history would mark that place for the role it would play in the events yet to come. For Bill however this place would always be home. It was the place where he grew up, where he spent the first twenty years of his life. After all he was the first son of Molly and Arthur Weasley and the big brother to all the sixth children that followed. At birth his parents chose to name him William, named after one of Arthur’s brothers who died during the First Wizarding War. The entire family however favored “Bill” as did the rascal of a boy himself.
Bill’s relationship with his family was complex, his feelings varying from one relative to the next as in each of their lives he adopts a different role. Bill and his father had a real friendship, the kind of bond reserved for a father and his first born son. With his mother things were often more strained as she didn’t agree with many of his life choices. Charlie was his partner in crime for many things, sharing his fondness for adventure as time would one day reveal. Then came Percy and their brotherly bond was strained by the differences between them. Percy liked to stick to the rules and play things safe where Bill favored adventure. The twins for that looked up to their big brother and his love for mischief. In a way the two surpassed their big brother in that aspect. With Ron things were different as the age gap was simply too big, because of this Bill was more of a guardian than a brother to Ron. Ginny and Bill’s relation was similar to the one with Ron other than the fact that Bill felt extremely protective of his little sister…
Even as a child, Bill proved to be quite the rascal. He learnt to fly at the age of six all by himself and was well versed in basic spells by the time he was eligible to attend Hogwarts. Tradition placed Bill in House Gryffindor where the boy instantly felt at home. Bill turned out to be a decent student, revealing academic excellence in many of his classes. When he started his Third Year, Bill received a time-turner from professor McGonagall in order to attend five elective classes (Muggle Studies, Care of Magical Creatures, Divination, Arithmancy and Study of Ancient Runes). During his fifth year Bill became a house prefect yet the added responsibilities didn’t prevent him from obtaining twelve O.W.L.s. While being a bright student, Bill was also a social butterfly with more friends than he could count. It was during those final years at Hogwarts that he developed his unique sense of style which more resembled a rockstar than a wizard. He even began expanding his social circle to lands abroad, counting a Brazilian pen-pal among his best friends. Eventually Bill completed his seventh year with top N.E.W.T. grades that paved the path to his career as a curse breaker for the Gringott’s Wizarding Bank the next year…
In the summer of ’89 Bill started working for Gringotts as a Curse Breaker stationed in Egypt. This meant he had to endure the tiresome commute between the UK and Egypt, leaving every Monday to the desert only to return to the Burrow for the weekend via Portkey. For two years he went through this routine before eventually moving out of the family home for temporary accommodations in Cairo. He even showed his family around the dig sites in the summer of ’93 when the Weasley’s came into some money. The adventurous lifestyle suited him and working for the wizarding bank did earn him a pretty penny, part of which was always sent home to aid the family. He returned to the UK for the Quidditch World Cup of ’94 where he met his brother’s friend Harry Potter for the first time. In the turmoil of that tragedy, Bill decided to lend his assistance to the Ministry of Magic getting hurt in the skirmish between the Ministry and the Death Eaters. For that he remained in the Burrows, getting patched up and staying close for his family’s protection. In that regard the young wizard hadn’t changed. Sure he was a rebel, but not one without a cause…
Right before the summer of ’95 Bill’s life took a change for the better when attending the Third Task of the Triwizard Tournament. There he met Fleur Delacour, the French Champion whom he only briefly spotted in that Beauxbatons’ blue robe. Due to the circumstances he didn’t act on his instincts and approach the enchanting young witch and he would have regretted that decision if things had not unfolded the way they did. With the murder of Cedric Diggory and the return of Voldemort Bill immediately informed his father of this grave events. From that day onward his adventurous life as a Curse Breaker was traded for the perilous task of serving the Order of the Phoenix. With his history at Gringotts Bill had himself transferred from the field to a desk job at the Diagon Alley holding. He was bored out of skull behind that desk, no matter how useful his efforts were to the Order. Still faith had a funny way of working sometimes as Bill found out in ’95 when a certain witch returned to his life. Fleur Delacour started her first day working at Gringotts that same year in the hopes of brushing up on her English. A fortunate coincidence that marked the start of a wonderful romance. The two took a liking to one another instantly and while many, his family included judged his relation as superficial…
After the entire magical community was shocked in the wake of the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, Bill came to realize just how fragile life was. Life seemed too short to deny the truth any longer and for that he proposed to Fleur in the summer that followed. “Oui” had never sounded so delightful as in that moment. Fleur however wanted to get to know his family and for that stayed at the Burrows for several weeks. To this day Bill doesn’t want to talk about the difficulties faced in those weeks. The heated arguments with his mother, the scrutiny of his sister in regards to his relation with the French witch and especially the word “Phlegm” are all painful reminders of that family stay. Still he loved Fleur unconditionally and would marry her even if it meant getting alienated from his family. Their opinion eventually changed in when Bill was gravely injured in the aftermath to the Battle of the Astronomy Tower. With his face torn up by the Fenrir Greyback and the growing uncertainty of his wellbeing, it was Fleur’s unwavering affection and love that swayed the opinion of Molly and Ginny that day. In that adoration, that blind fondness for the man now robbed of his devil-may-care appearance all came to realize that Fleur was there for all the right reasons…
The Second Wizarding War marked a dark chapter in Bill’s past for during that time he had to say farewell to a great number of close friends and family. Many of the Order died in their last stance against Voldemort, many more would forever be scarred by the horrors of that time. There was one bright spot in all that tragedy, a moment that despite its poor ending makes Bill look back at that time with some fondness. On August 1st ’97 Fleur and Bill got married at the Burrows in what could have been a magical stage for two lovers united. They’d eaten and drunk, danced and kissed and while Death Eaters ruined the festivities when the Ministry fell, their love endured. Rather than staying at the Burrows, the newlyweds moved into the Shell Cottage located on the coast near Tinworth, Cornwall. Bill returned to his post at Gringotts whilst offering his home as a safehouse for members of the Order. He even begged caution from Harry Potter when they were planning to break into Gringotts. The final days of the War were particularly gruesome for Bill had to bury one of favorite brothers after the Battle of Hogwarts. Only Fleur knows how hard the loss of Fred hit her husband, only she was privy to his grief and sorrow. It ruined him and unlike his family, Bill dealt with his pain on his own…
It took Bill years to get over losing Fred. For a while he was like a ghost haunting the Shell Cottage, only there in the scarce hours between dusk and dawn. He had the support of his wife but even Fleur suffered from her husband’s woe. She barely saw the man she loved as Bill worked himself to death beneath the scalding desert sun. It was some unexpected news that broke him out of this downward spiral. It was a note Fleur had kept hidden for a few days within a forgotten cupboard drawer, a doctor’s form from St. Mungo’s congratulating her with the pregnancy that she’d be waiting to bring up. In that moment Bill found his sense of duty and responsibility again, once more becoming the man that Fleur fell in love with when their eyes first met for the Third Task. The news broke the rut and stirred instincts within Bill that closely resembled those of his own father. Paternal instincts outweighed his sense of loss when Victoire was born on the anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts. It seemed only appropriate to name his first daughter “Victory” for that’s what she meant to him. His firstborn saved his marriage and restored Bill to his former self. In his new role, Bill happily greeted two more children over the years all with their mother’s distinct beauty and charm…
Now his kids are all grown up, Victoire already talking about marriage while Dominique and Louis were only one and two years away from graduating Hogwarts respectively. This gave Bill more time to focus on his gorgeous wife now that the Shell Cottage is likely to be empty for the next few years. He’d hoped this free time could be used to finally have that honeymoon they’d missed out on due to circumstances. Career wise he’d achieved as much as one could hope for as a wizard employed by Gringotts. As head of the Curse Breakers, he made the kind of money his parents could have only dreamt about and doing so made him happy. But money isn’t everything or so the Weasley’s had known for generations. Now they’d begun planning a well-earned vacation together. He’d hoped for some private time with Fleur, some romantic getaway before one of his own kids popped out a few Weasley’s of their own. His family’s trouble would just have to wait a while longer. Right now he needed to fix the most precious relation in his life. Only with Fleur by his side could he hope to deal with his sister’s shifting loyalties, his lost brother’s sudden return, not to mention the possible grandchildren that might one day be arriving into the Shell Cottage…
